Saudi Arabia’s businesses are interested in Tajikistan’s investment climate

Beijing. May 11. Silkroadnews - Saudi Arabia’s businesses representatives got acquainted with the investment opportunities of Tajikistan, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Friday.
Yesterday Dushanbe hosted the investment forum with participation of entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
According to the source, the committee’s head Farrukh Hamralizoda talked about the country’s investment potential, investment climate, terms and conditions for doing business, and simplified system for the development of entrepreneurship.
The forum agenda also included discussion on prospects of industries to ensure the state’s reliable development, including the energy sector, drinking water use, agricultural products processing and tourism infrastructure development fields.
During their visit to the Sughd region, Arab entrepreneurs got acquainted with the investment and tourism opportunities of the Ayni district.
The potential investors have also visited the city of Istaravshan and Sughd free economic zone in the city of Khujand.
To remind, in 2007-2017 Saudi investors have invested $160.2 million into the economy of Tajikistan.
