Schools in Nangarhar face Daesh constant threats

Beijing. June 6. Silkroadnews - Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education is concerned with Daesh threats against schools in the eastern province of Nangarhar, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
Some schools in several districts have been reported closed cause of Daesh attacks fear.
The terrorist group recently threatened to attack schools in Nangarhar, warning families not to send their children to school, the Afghanistan Times writes.
“We frequently messaged to the armed groups through the media that they should not put schools in danger, because education does not relate to politics and war at any mean. Schools should be free of political games and war based on the international laws,” the agency quoted saying by Mojib Mehrdad, a spokesman for the ministry.
He urged the ISIS terrorist group not to threaten schools.
According to the ministry of education, there are 500 schools closed across the country, while some lawmakers say he number of schools closed exceeds 2,000.
The ministry also reported about 3.7 million children throughout the country, including 2.2 million girls, are deprived of the opportunity to attend school.
The enemy’s threats are just propaganda, defense ministry spokesman Mohammad Radmanesh said.
