SCO conference to discuss issues of regional organisation in Dushanbe today

Dushanbe. May 14. Silkroadnews –Shanghai Cooperation Organisation starts its conference in Dushanbe today. The parties are to discuss issues of regional organisation, as Tajikistan Center for Strategic Studies reports.
Scientific and Practitioner’s conference entitled “Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in ensuring security: problems and prospects” will take place for two days. It is held withing the framework of Tajikistan’s current chairmanship in SCO. Such issues as Afghanistan situation after withdrawal of coalition forces and security in Central Asia are on the forum’s agenda.
Representatives of the Centres for strategic studies of SCO member countries and SCO observer-countries as well as SCO partners are to participate in conference. Representatives of SCO secretariats, RATS SCO,  (CSTO) Collective Security Treaty Organisation and heads of various ministries and governmental agencies in Tajikistan are also to take part in the conference.
