SCO signed a development strategy until 2025

Almaty. July 10. Silkroadnews - The heads of SCO member states, following the meeting in Ufa, signed the organization's development strategy until 2025, informed the press service of the Russian president.
The document emphasizes that the SCO countries "respect the right to choose the path of political, economic, social and cultural development, taking into account historical experience and national features of each state, contribute to the dialogue among civilizations, the general peace, progress and harmony, guided by the principles of non-interference in internal affairs, respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of SCO member states and do not support the use of unilateral measures of pressure without the approval of the UN Security Council".
It is indicated that the SCO countries intend to cooperate in the field of human rights, overcoming the current politicization of such discussion in international forums.
SCO countries also intend to ensure that the international community attaches equal importance to "all kinds of human rights, including the right for development". According to the strategy, SCO members will also develop cooperation in the field of law and justice, mutual legal assistance, in accordance with national laws and international treaties.
In addition, the leaders of the SCO member states have approved a program of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2016-2018 years.
Approved the decision of the executive director of the Committee for Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the SCO and the decision of draft convention of Shanghai Cooperation Organization to combat extremism.
Recall the next SCO summit will be held in September 2016 in Uzbekistan.
