Almaty. August 8. Silkroadnews - US State Secretary, John Kerry, in the framework of abroad trip came with unannounced visit to Afghanistan, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"He's scheduled talks with going President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, and two contenders for the post Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai", - noted source.
In particular it is noted that Kerry is going to persuade Abdullah and Ghani to "help accelerate the process of the recount" to finalize the details of the agreements reached in July. He also plans to urge both candidates to "work together in a spirit of collegiality," and to ensure, above all, the interests of the state, "national unity".
