Shanghai introduces smoking bans in public places

Almaty. February 27. Silkroadnews – Shanghai authorities to fine violators of the smoking ban in public places, “Sinminvan” site writes.

“New regulation coming into force as of March 1, 2017, provides for appropriate measures in this regard”, the publication says.

It will set a total indoor smoking ban in public areas, restaurants, offices and public transport facilities.

The fines for the violators will amount to 2-30 thousand yuan (about $294 - $4411) for legal entities and to 50-200 yuan ($7 to $29) for individuals.

Also, the public is encouraged to report the smoking ban violations by reporting to the special “hotline” established.
