Shell started Iranian oil deliveries to Europe

Almaty. June 10. Silkroadnews – Dutch-British oil company Royal Dutch Shell has become the second largest oil company after the French Total that resumed purchases of oil in Iran after the sanctions removal.

According to the data, on July 8 Shell shall receive 130 thousand tonnes of the Iranian oil. As publication notes, the cargo shall be shipped in Rotterdam. Tanker Delta Hellas hired to deliver oil to Europe shall be loaded on July 1.

The official representative of the Ministry of Oil of Iran stated Shell can resume oil imports from Iran after paying its debt for the previously delivered oil. This March the company settled the most of its obligations to Iran having paid to NIOC $1.9 billion out of the total $2.1 billion of blocked Iranian assets from the sale of oil.
