Since October 1 Uzbekistan raises minimum salary, stipends and pensions by 1.15 times as average

Almaty. August 23. Silkroadnews – Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov signed a decree according to which since October 1 Uzbekistan raises salaries of employees of budgetary institutions and organizations, pensions, stipends and social allowances by 1.15 times as average, UzTAG reports.

“In particular, since October 1, 2016, in Uzbekistan monthly minimum wage will amount to 149 775 som, old age pensions – 292 940 som, allowances to disabled from childhood – 292 940 som, benefits for the elderly and disabled citizens without the required work experience – 179 755 som”, the document says.

The costs related to increase in wages of employees of budgetary institutions and organizations, pensions, allowances and stipends will be made at the expense of the state budget and extra-budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance.
