Smuggling of petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan for 1.6 billion tenge was stopped by Kazakhstan Custom Officers
Almaty. July 9. Silkroadnews - Customs Supervision Department of Zhambyl region conveyed to the financial police 10 criminal cases of smuggling of petroleum products in the amount of 1.6 billion tenge, reports KazTAG.
"For 10 Kazakh companies initiated 10 criminal cases", - said the press service of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.
As explained, in April-May 2014 at the customs post "Kulan" were detained 427 tanks with diesel fuel and gasoline.
Meanwhile, says the press service, in accordance with the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on trade and economic cooperation in the field of oil and petroleum products signed on December 9, 2010 from January 1, 2014 it is prohibited to export diesel fuel and gasoline from Kazakhstan outside the territory of the CU .
"Thus, detained oil can not be exported from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic, that is why it had been detained by the customs authority" - the report says.
