South Korean Export-Import Bank intends to provide Uzbekistan with loans in the amount of $ 3 billion
Almaty. May 27. Silkroadnews - On the eve, Seoul hosted the Uzbek-Korean business forum, during which the Vice-President of Eximbank of South Korea Kim Yong Ki announced intention to provide Uzbekistan a loan of $3 billion, informed UzTAG.
According to him, currently Uzbekistan has the largest portfolio of South Korean bank in investment funding, which exceeded $2 billion.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will visit South Korea on May 27-29, during which will be signed a package of documents aimed at further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Recall, the Republic of Korea is one of the largest investors in Uzbekistan. According to statistics, the total volume of Korean investments in the Uzbek economy has exceeded to date $2.5 billion.
Uzbekistan has created more than 400 joint ventures, including 70 - with 100% South Korean capital. With the active participation of representatives of South Korean business is implementing a number of strategic projects, including the construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex on the base of the deposit "Surgil" in the north-west of the country with the cost $4.2 billion.
