State Duma Speaker proposes to include Iran in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly as an observer

Almaty. November 7. Silkroadnews - Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said that Iran would participate in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) as an observer, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Friday.
However, he pointed to the desirability of increasing the number of observer countries in the activities of the parliamentary structure.
Reportedly, the council meeting was held in Moscow. It was attended by the heads of the parliaments of the CSTO member states, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha.
