Almaty. August 2. Silkroadnews – Supplies of electricity from Russia to China have been suspended due to accident in power supply networks in the Far East, Russian newspaper Vedomosti reported.
According to statement by the press service of Inter RAO (export-import operator), Russia’s ministry of energy reported an accident in the networks of the Khabarovsk region resulted in suspension of supplies of electricity to China.
Preliminary data shows the scale of disconnection of power exceeded 400 MW.
At 2.07 p.m. on August 1, 2017, protective functions disconnected: the 500 kV line “Bureyskaya HPP – Amurskaya”, the first circuit of 500 kV line “Bureyskaya HPP – Khabarovskaya”, interstate 500 kV line “Amurskaya – Heihe”, 220 kV line “Khabarovskaya – Volochaevka traction”, 220 kV line “Khabarovskaya – Levoberezhnaya”, report by the ministry of energy of the Russian Federation said.
