Tajik border guards stopped the import of drugs: one Afghan citizen was killed

Almaty. September 25. Silkroadnews - On the Tajik-Afghan border in the clashes which occurred in Tajikistan, border guards stopped an attempt to break into its territory of group of drug smugglers, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Friday.
"On the night of September 22 to 23, Tajik border guards came into clash with a group of 4-5 alleged drug smugglers, thus thwarted their attempt to break the Tajik-Afghan border", - reported the press service of the Main Directorate of Border Troops of the State Committee of National Security of Tajikistan.
As a result, one of the offenders was killed. It appeared to be a citizen of Afghanistan Jabbor Valad Okil, others managed to escape to the neighboring territory.
At the site of the incident was discovered more than 16 kilograms of drugs, a hunting rifle, ammunition, two hand grenades.
At present, the fact of armed incident is under investigation.
