Tajik well known opposition leader is shot dead in Istanbul
Almaty. March 6. Silkroadnews - In Turkey was killed the leader of the Tajik opposition "Group-24" Umarali Kuvvatov, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) with reference to Turkish media.
It is noted that U.Kuvvatov was shot to the head on one of the streets in Istanbul.
U.Kuvvatov is a founder of the movement "Group-24" announced in Tajikistan as extremist organization. The organizers of the movement also include Sharofiddin Gadoev, who currently lives in Spain.
Tajik law enforcement previously announced U.Kuvvatov and S. Gadoev in international arrest warrant, accusing them of extremism and calling for the overthrow of the constitutional government.
Recall that in December 2014 the U Kuvvatov was detained by law enforcement agencies in Turkey, where he was living temporarily, for "violating the immigration regime". Later he was released.
