Tajikistan after 2050 projected reduction in water reserves
Almaty. July 14. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan after 2050 projected decrease of water supplies, however, according to experts, the launch of Rogun HPP will help to overcome the consequences of water scarcity, reported the Tajik news agency on Tuesday.
"Tajikistan is a country rich with water resources. It concentrated about 60% of all water resources in Central Asia, but after 2050 projected the decrease of water supplies. If we finish building the Rogun HPP, we can give water to other countries too", - said the deputy head of the Committee for Environmental Protection of RT Oikhon Sharipova at a meeting with journalists.
Meanwhile, according to Director of the Meteorological Agency Homidjon Rasulzoda, evaporation of the Rogun reservoir will not affect the climate of the country and the region.
