Tajikistan and Azerbaijan will cooperate in the fight against drugs
Almaty. February 23. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan and Azerbaijan intend to cooperate in the fight against drugs, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Tuesday.
“Tajikistan and Azerbaijan discussed the issues of cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking within the framework of the Organization for Economic Development (ECO) and the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC),” - says the publication.
The discussion took place on February 22, 2016, at the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan at the meeting of the agency’s director Sherkhon Salimzoda with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov.
During the meeting, the head of the anti-drug department of the country shared with the guest the trends and situation with drug trafficking in Tajikistan and Central Asia.
They also discussed the issues of further development of cooperation between the DCA and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan.
DCA Director also presented the information on the experience of Tajikistan in conducting anti-drug activities.
