Tajikistan and China to complete geological exploration in the border area

Almaty. July 21. Silkroadnews – Tajikistan and China discussed the completion of geological exploration in the border area and discussed the possibility of other projects in this field, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports on Thursday.


“Tajikistan and China discussed issues of further cooperation, in particular regarding to completion of geological exploration in potentially productive zones in the border areas”, the officials of the Main Department of Geology say.

The discussion was held in Dushanbe, at the meeting of Tajikistan’s Main Department of Geology of Tajikistan with delegation of the Geological Survey of China.

The sides also discussed the issues of joint geological studies and staff trainings.

There is an agreement on cooperation for joint exploration work in the border areas signed between China and the Republic of Tajikistan on November 25, 2010.
