Almaty. August 11. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan and India discussed the issues of cooperation, transmits Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) on Monday.

Sides discussed the promising areas of economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fruit and vegetable processing, textile industry, the creation of joint ventures for the production of building materials, attracting Indian investments and modern technologies in the Tajik economy.
In addition, the parties expressed their countries' readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the priority sectors of the economy, including the energy sector.
It should be noted that according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, with financial assistance from the Government of India was upgraded HPP-1 "Varzobskaya".
In addition, the Government of Tajikistan will study offers Indian companies for the construction of a 100 MW hydroelectric power station on the river Zarafshan.
