Tajikistan and Iran discussed the creation of a joint venture for the cultivation and export of pistachios

Dushanbe. June 16. Silkroadnews - During the international exhibition "Tajikistan 2014" representatives of business circles of Iran visited free economic zone "Sughd", said Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"Iranian and Tajik businessmen discussed the organization of joint production of planting pistachios and their further processing, packing and storage in order to ensure not only the domestic market of Tajikistan, but also export finished products to the Russian Federation",- says the publication on Monday.
Discussion took place during a meeting with Iranian businessmen group and administration of the strategic planning in free economic zone "Sughd".
During the talks, the head of administration of FEZ Firdavs Alimov acquainted visitors with the objectives to establish a zone with its activities and actors. He drew particular attention to investment projects that could form the basis of attracting foreign investments, advanced technology and the creation of joint ventures.
In turn, Manager of Marketing and Communications of Science and Technology Park Horasan in Iran Alireza Noorian, expressed a desire to study in detail the strategic investment projects.
The International Exhibition is held in Khujand Sughd region from 11 to 17 June.
