Tajikistan and Iran have discussed the implementation of the construction of "Sangtuda-2"

Tehran. September 2 - "The issues of energy cooperation was discussed at the meeting of the Ministers of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Sharif Rahimzoda and Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hamid Chitchiyan yesterday in Dushanbe", - said in a statement citing the Ministry of Economic Development of RT.
The sides discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy and transport infrastructure, including the implementation of construction of the projects"Sangtuda-2" and the completion of the tunnel "Istiqlol".
The centerpiece of the negotiations took a question about the development of energy cooperation, including the involvement of the Iranian investment in projects for the construction of medium and small hydropower plant on the cross-sections of the rivers of Tajikistan.
It is worth noting that according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the RT, full commissioning of Sangtuda-2 is planned in the first half of September this year.
