Tajikistan and Japan signed a series of cooperation documents

Almaty. October 26. Silkroadnews - Cooperation with Japan remains a priority in the foreign policy of Tajikistan, said the Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon, the Tajik news agency reported on Saturday.
He noted that the signing of eight documents indicates a high level of cooperation between Dushanbe and Tokyo.
In turn, the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe mentioned about "important role of Tajikistan in ensuring stability and security in Central Asia. Japan has expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Tajikistan".
The talks resulted in the signing of the joint declaration on partnership between Tajikistan and Japan; Agreement on the exchange of memoranda on the project "Rehabilitation of the drinking water in the area of Khatlon region Panj" (second phase), the memorandum between the Government of Tajikistan and the Government of Japan on economic and scientific-technical cooperation, totally signed eight documents.
They also discussed issues of regional security, the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East region.
