Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to further negotiate border issues this June

Dushanbe. June 10. Silkroadnews – Bishkek intends to re-launch negotiations on border issues with Tajikistan, as TajikTA reports.
“We are planning to coordinate Ak-Say alternative highway construction with our Tajik colleagues. Let me remind you that it lies through Tajik enclaves”, as Kyrgyz Deputy PM Abdyrakhman Mamataliyev informed.
Tajik delegation is to arrive to Batken in the 16th of June. Tajik Deputy PM is to arrive among other delegates.
As Kyrgyz Deputy PM Mamataliyev reckons “there are no big misunderstandings between us and Tajiks”.
“We only have undecided territories. We plan to exchange them. However, this will only be done after the issue of local residents living in settlements along the border is solved”, Mister Mamataliyev added.
