Tajikistan and Russia to reform a package of labor migration agreements

Almaty. January 30. Silkroadnews – President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, co-chair of the Tajik-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Igor Shuvalov, who arrived in Dushanbe for a working visit, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported.

“The parties have paid special attention to the issues of labor migration, including the issues of preparation and signing in the near future a new package of agreements aimed at strengthening the legal and social protection of labor migrants”, press service of the head of Tajikistan informs.

President of Tajikistan pointed out to the need for a mutually acceptable solution of the issues raised in the aviation sector that create difficulties for citizens and cast a shadow on the reputation of the strategic partnership between two states.

Also the parties touched on the issues of increasing quotas for young people studying in Russian universities on specialties of high demand in Tajikistan.
