Tajikistan does not stop electricity exports to Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan
Almaty. 11 September. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan yet does not stop electricity exports to neighboring countries, reports the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Friday.
Also, it does not address the issue of introduction of a limit on the supply of electricity to the population of rural areas. At the present time the country stopped idle discharge of water from the reservoir of Nurek hydroelectric power station.
This decision is due to a decrease in flow of water on the Vakhsh River, which is located at the cross-sections of Nurek.
Reportedly, the inflow of water in the Vakhsh near the Nurek reservoir decreased compared to the previous month, but it is enough to generate the required amount of electricity to meet domestic needs and export electricity to Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The daily volume of electricity production in the country in average amounts to 48.5 million kW/h., 4 million of which is exported to Afghanistan and neighboring Kyrgyzstan.
