Tajikistan has increased the volume of cotton exports in January 2015 by almost 7%

Almaty. February 18. Silkroadnews - In January Tajikistan has increased the volume of cotton exports by about 7%,reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Wednesday.
In the first month of this year, the country exported nearly 12 thousand tons of cotton fiber. In the same period last year, exports of these products amounted to just over 11 thousand tons.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that world cotton prices in January this year compared to January of last year fell by almost 22%.
In this regard, the revenues of Tajikistan current year amounted only to $14.7 million versus $18.8 million in January last year.
