Almaty. October 2. Silkroadnews - «Tajikistan with its neighboring countries - Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan -  has an understanding, and we think we continue to work with all our neighbors in Central Asia on mutual, neighborly level", - said the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzade a roundtable on how to reduce the risks associated with water-related disasters.
As recalled by the Prime Minister in Central Asia, was created an International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, as well as the Interstate Coordination Water Committee, which together - and in the vegetation, and in non-vegitation seasons - allocats water resources. "So we are working together with all governments and distribute water according to the decisions of the committee. Thus, we made the most use of all that we have, and water unites us not divide",- said the Tajik Prime.
He also said that during his visit to the headquarters of the United Nations he has already held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, where they discussed issues of water cooperation.
In the mountain areas of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are concentrated more than 85% of fresh water throughout the region, and Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan seasonally acute shortage of water. This situation may often lead to strained relations between the neighboring countries.
