Tajikistan imported goods for $4.3 billion in 2014

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews - In 2014, Tajikistan imported goods worth $4 billion 340 million, according to the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Tuesday.
"The total volume of foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan in 2014 approached $5.32 billion", - says Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the reporting year, imports of Tajikistan is dominated by petroleum products. During this period was imported 580 thousand tons of petroleum products worth $508 million. This figure is 218 thousand tons, or $129 million more than in 2013.
Also during this period, Tajikistan has increased imports of wheat compared with 2013.
In 2014, imported vehicles amounted to $245 million, Liquefied gas - $180 million, alumina - $131 million, vegetable oil - $82 million.
The amount of imported goods was carried out on a preferential basis, amounted to approximately $3 billion 55 million, accounting for nearly 67% of total imports. The total amount of goods exempt from customs duties and charges amounted to about 1 billion 917 million Somoni ($383 million.).
