Tajikistan is holding an unscheduled inspection of the collective rapid reaction forces of the CSTO
Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews - " on 12-21 May as part of the CSTO, and based on the approved plan of the CSTO, Tajikistan is conducting a sudden check of combat readiness", - said TajikTA.
As noted, the exercises involve commanders and troops from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan with more than 2 thousand soldiers.
According to the plan of the exercise, troops of the CSTO will regroup aircraft military transport, will make the marches on their own with the standard weapons, equipment, ammunition and other supplies necessary to perform combat training missions in Tajikistan.
During the inspection, and the regrouping of troops will be used the army and tactical aviation, heavy artillery and armored vehicles, various types of weapons and ammunition. During the exercises will be improved coordination of work of the military management of the organization, co-operative staff in the preparation of a joint anti-terrorist operation in mountainous terrain. In addition, it is planned to develop common methods for resolving crises in the region.
Commanding of troops of the CSTO is assigned to the Chairman of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Member States of the Organization - Defence Minister Sherali Mirzo.
