Almaty. June 18. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan can restore the unified energy system of Central Asia without Uzbekistan, Tajik news agency reports (TajikTA).
It is noted that previously operated an integrated energy and generating system was created for a stable and uninterrupted power supply to the region.
"Five years ago, Tajikistan has been disconnected from the unified energy system, industry lost power for six months. Repeated negotiations with the Uzbekistan did not bring any results ", - explained W. Khodjaeva.
"Now, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are in favor of the restoration of the system through the Tajikistan-Datca (Kyrgyzstan)-Shymkent (Kazakhstan), passing Uzbekistan. In this case, we will be able to share Tajik electricity to the region and to implement it in the summer time,"- said V. Khodjaeva.
In summer, Tajikistan exports electricity to Afghanistan in a volume of 800 million kWh, and to Kyrgyzstan - 600 million kWh.
Recall, Dushanbe on Tuesday hosted a regional conference on the exchange of experiences in the field of energy cooperation. During the meeting, experts discussed the creation in Tajikistan in 2015, the center of energy diplomacy under the auspices of the Government of Tajikistan and with the support of the OSCE Office.
