Tajikistan offered to get new travel companies exempted from income tax

Almaty. December 22. Silkroadnews – Tajikistan will increase the list of countries to simplify the visa regime for, President Emomali Rahmon said, TajikTA reports.

At present Tajikistan applies a simplified procedure to issue visa for citizens of 80 countries. To further improve the efficiency of tourism industry Rahmon announced the tourism industry management restructurization coming.

“A separate state agency for tourism development will be established within the government of Tajikistan at the beginning of next year”, president added.

He also proposed to exempt all the new travel companies from income tax for a period of five years.

As it was reported earlier, Emomali Rahmon ordered the government to exempt the equipment imported into the country for the construction of tourist facilities from all the taxes starting from the beginning of the next year.

To boost the dynamic development of entrepreneurship and private sector the head of the state also assigned to reduce the number of inspections and inspection bodies.

“(...) together with investors the government is entrusted to draft a document to improve the investment environment and propose possible privileges to prevent any space for corruption”, president said.
