Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan will sign agreement on transit trade in March

Almaty. January 8. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan will sign agreement on transit trade in March 2015, reports Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to prepare for the signing of the final version of the triangular trade and transit agreement by March. This will allow Pakistan to have access to the markets of Central Asia. In exchange, Islamabad will provide its ports for the export of goods produced in Central Asian countries", - says the publication.
Agreement was reached at the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Saidrahmon Nazriyev, Commerce Minister of Pakistan Shahzod Arbob and head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of Afghanistan Muzzammil Shinvori.
It was also decided to hold the next meeting in February in Dushanbe, which will be agreed on the text of the agreement. The final version of the document to be signed in Kabul.
As previously reported, Islamabad agreed to transit to Tajikistan 100 thousand tons of crude oil from Kuwait through the Pakistani port of Karachi. Phased shipments will reach 1.2 million tons per year.
Tajikistan also intends to start importing Pakistani wheat, flour and sugar.
