Tajikistan-Pakistan cooperation prospects were discussed in Islamabad

Beijing. April 12. Silkroadnews - At the special conference held in Islamabad, representatives of Tajikistan and Pakistan discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Thursday.
Opening the conference, Chairman of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies of Pakistan Zahir-ul-Islam noted that the hydropower potential of Tajikistan is huge and unique in the world, and taking into account Pakistan’s growing demand for electricity, it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of bilateral cooperation in this field.
Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Sherali Jononov made a presentation “CASA – 1000 and Perspective of the Cooperation of Tajikistan.”
Summarizing the results of the conference, the participants noted, the relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan continue to develop dynamically in all the fields. The potential for cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan is quite high and it is necessary to intensify the scientific and expert dialogue that will facilitate and strengthen bilateral relations.
