Tajikistan plans to host political consultations with European countries

Almaty. June 2. Silkroadnews – Next week Tajikistan plans to host bilateral political consultations with the European countries, Tajik telegraph agency (TajikTA) reported on Thursday.

“Bilateral political consultations between Tajikistan and the countries of Europe will be held in the city of Dushanbe next week,” the information department of Tajikistan’s ministry of foreign affairs reports.

In particular, ambassador Heidemarie Gurer, director of the department for Eastern Europe, Western Balkans, Southern Caucasus and Central Asia at Austria’s Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, is expected to arrive in Dushanbe on June 6.

On June 6-9 Tajikistan will host the OSCE delegation headed by director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, ambassador Marcel Pesko, to hold the task force meeting of Tajikistan and the OSCE.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan also informs the visit by Toivo Klaar, head of the Central Asia Division in the European External Action Service is scheduled for June 8-11 to participate in the human rights dialogue between the EU and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The visit of Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), is also expected to take place on June 9-11.
