Tajikistan plans to lift the limit on electricity in 2015 ahead of schedule

"State Energy Holding "Barki Tajik" plans to remove the restriction on energy consumption this year earlier than usual", - said the chairman of State Energy Holding Rustam Rahmatzoda at the final press conference on Tuesday.
According to him, this allows the presence of water potential, as the current level of water in the reservoir Nurek - 889.7 m, which is 4.27 m higher than the same period last year. Running water on the Vakhsh River is about 200 cubic meters per second.
"This allows electricity to consumers before the warm season of the year", - he said, adding that today fully provided electricity just major cities and regional centers of Tajikistan, while in rural areas electricity is at least 11-12 hours a day.
As noted, the inhabitants of different regions of Tajikistan often complain of getting electricity daily for 7-10 hours.
