Tajikistan received another batch of military equipment from Russia
Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan received another batch of military equipment from Russia, reported TajikTA.
Deliveries are carried out in the framework of the decisions of the heads of CSTO member states to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan section of the state border, adopted in 2013. In accordance with this decision, the Ministry of Defense of Russia participates in joint decision of additional measures aimed at strengthening border security in Tajikistan.
In particular, loads of the Russian Defense Ministry are designed for law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and directly involved in countering terrorist threats from Afghan territory under the conditions of the withdrawal of the international coalition forces.
According to the deputy head of the military department of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defence Russia builds its approach to the provision of free military-technical assistance, taking into account the need for proportionality and adequate response to the growing challenges and threats in Central Asia.
