Tajikistan’s import-export of precious metals decreased by $29 million for 5 months

Almaty. June 28. Silkroadnews – In Tajikistan import and export of precious metals and stones decreased by $29.1 million for five months of this year compared to the same period of last year, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Tuesday.

“Import-export of precious and semi-precious stones and metals for five months of 2016 amounted to more than $52.3 million, which is by $29.1 million lower compared to the same period of 2015,” agency for statistics under the president of Tajikistan reports.

The volume of metal exports decreased by 35.7% compared to the same period of last year.

The amount of import of precious and semi-precious stones and metals for the period specified amounted to $377 thousand and decreased as compared to the same period of 2015 by 99%, or almost by $39.3 million.
