Tajikistan’s President to address the country’s parliament with the message on December 22

Almaty. December 6. Silkroadnews – On December 22, 2016, Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon will address the parliament of the country, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported on Tuesday.

“The annual state-of-the-nation address by the president of the Tajik State Emomali Rahmon is planned to be held on the eve of the coming year, on December 22 the President will address his message to the republic’s parliament”, Tajikistan’s government representatives inform.

The joint meeting of both houses of parliament, where Emomali Rahmon will speak, will gather all the members of the government, heads of all the cities, districts and regions of the country.

Traditionally in his annual address to the parliament President of Tajikistan sets the basic objectives for the domestic and foreign policies and social and economic development of the country for the coming year.

To remind, starting from 2014, the President addressed the parliament in January. The major reason to move up a date for the message addressing is the fact that for the second year the country’s financial year begins in January and not on April 1 as it was earlier.
