Tajikistan sentenced 10 members of the extremist organization "Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan"

Almaty. April 1. Silkroadnews - Tajikistan sentenced 10 members of the extremist organization "Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan", said Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"On the eve completed the trial in respect of 10 residents of Spitamen Sughd region, aged 22-27 years, involved in the IMU. Three of them received one year in prison, the rest - from 9 to 17 years in prison",- reported the agency in court.
The court found them guilty of committing a series of crimes: the organization of a criminal association for the commission of grave or especially grave crimes, the organization of extremist community and participation in an extremist community, etc.
As noted, these citizens in November 2014 voluntarily joined the ranks of the organization, then a month later were detained by Sughd police.
