Tajikistan will equip the metropolitan transportation with GLONASS system

Almaty. December 26. Silkroadnews - In Tajikistan, Dushanbe public transport will be equipped by Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS), reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA).
"Introduction of innovative solutions in the GLONASS system for public transport in Dushanbe  will be provided by Russian holding SpeysTim. Complex solutions enable new buses and trolley buses go right on schedule, effectively providing passenger transportation", - says the publication.
According to information, traffic management will be carried out from a single control center, located in Dushanbe mayor's office.
As noted, the transport complex of the capital of Tajikistan is updated in stages by the City in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The purpose of traffic management systems in Dushanbe "smart city" is to create the most efficient transport network.
According to the results of the pilot project in Dushanbe, the experience of introduction of technologies GLONASS in passenger transport in 2015 and 2016 will be scaled to the whole Tajikistan.
