Tashkent and Turkey agreed to attract Turkish investors into tourism sector of Uzbekistan

Almaty. February 24. Silkroadnews – A delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the chairman of the state committee for tourism Anwar Sharapov took part in the opening of the III World Tourism Forum in Istanbul (Turkey), UzTAG reports.

The forum was attended by representatives of the private sector, investors, bankers and well-known media, as well as by the tourism ministers of 20 states of the world.

Within the forum framework minister A. Sharapov met with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Nabi Avci. During the meeting the Turkish minister was informed on the decisions by the President of Uzbekistan on boosting the country’s tourism industry development. The Turkish participants expressed their readiness to support the development of tourism and training of Uzbek specialists both in Turkey and in Uzbekistan.

Nabi Avci was invited to participate in the international tourism exhibition to be held in Tashkent in April.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also met with the president of Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) B. Ulusoy and deputy chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Hasan Erkesim and agreed to attract Turkish investors into the tourism sector of Uzbekistan.
