Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews - Tehran and Moscow signed an agreement to build two new nuclear power plants in Iran, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
"We have signed an agreement with Russia to build two additional nuclear power plant in Bushehr", - said the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi.
He explained that the construction work on the construction of new nuclear facilities is likely to begin "in the next year," the Iranian calendar, After 21 March 2015.
At the same time he pointed out that to produce 1 thousand MW power plant running on fossil fuels emit more than 7 million tons of greenhouse gases, "while nuclear power plants generate electricity without polluting the environment".
Recall that in November last year, Iran and Russia signed a package of documents providing for the construction of eight new nuclear power in the Islamic Republic with the participation of Russian specialists.
