Tehran and Moscow strengthen cooperation in the creation of the antiterrorist front in the Middle East

Almaty. August 5. Silkroadnews - Tehran and Moscow enhance bilateral cooperation in the framework of efforts to form a broad front against terrorism in response to the growing threat from the extremist organization Islamic State in the Middle East and North Africa, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
These and other questions about the Iranian-Russian relations were the subject of substantive discussion in Tehran at the meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Hussein Amirabdullahiyan with his Russian counterpart, the special representative of Russian President for Africa and the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov.
Participants of the consultations expressed their deep concern about the growing threat from the IS, and spoke in favor of the formation of a broad anti-terrorist front.
Among others, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran and Russia also discussed the situation in Yemen. The sides reaffirmed the principled position of both countries in favor of a speedy end to the bloody conflict in that country.
