Almaty. January 27. Silkroadnews - Iran expects to sign in 2015 a contract or memorandum of understanding with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC), reported the Iranian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Mehdi Sanai.
"I think that in 2015 we need to work on it, Iran had certain economic contacts with the EAEC. Iran intends to use this opportunity to its exports to Russia and other countries. We may need to sign any contract or memorandum of understanding",- quoted M.Sanai Iranian news agency on Tuesday.
According to him, in the way of full cooperation between Iran and Russia, Iran faces the problem of high customs duties for Iranian goods.
"There is another problem: high customs tariffs for Iranian exports to Russia. Iran sends its products to Russia directly, rather than through the other republics that have tariff preferences. These rates are high for Iran. Iranian businessmen often ask us to contribute to the reduction of tariffs, they cite the example of Russia's relations with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan",- said the ambassador.
