Tehran prevented Ankara from carrying out ground military operations in Syria

Almaty. October 10. KazTAG - Tehran warned Ankara to conduct any ground military operations on the territory of Syria, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Friday.
According to reporters, on the eve the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Amirabdullahiyan Hussein, informed that his department is in constant contact with Turkish counterparts on the situation in the besieged Syrian city of militants IG Coban. He added that the other party has been advised of the unacceptability of possible Turkish military ground operation in the adjacent territory.
According to him, the current Iranian-Turkish consultation pursue the aim to develop optimally acceptable way out of the crisis situation which is currently near the town of Coban along the border with Turkey.
"During our initial consultations with Turkey, it became clear that this country is not interested in an escalation of the crisis in the region, and we hope that it will play a positive role in this regard", - said Amirabdullahiyan.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran also announced its intention to Tehran to maintain direct political dialogue with Turkey on regional security, noting the important role of Turkey in the international efforts to help thousands of Syrian refugees who have been forced to leave the combat zone.
The Iranian diplomat also stressed the readiness of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic to take "whatever action is necessary to assist the Kurdish population in Koban" in its support for the Syrian government in its fight against terrorism.
The city of Coban populated mainly by ethnic Kurds, IG militants began on September 16. According to regional observers, victims of armed conflict have become at least 20 civilians, 173 Kurdish security forces, eliminated 220 militants. In this war zone, were forced to leave about 200 thousand civilians.
