The Attorneys General of the SCO countries intensify joint efforts to combat transnational crime
Astana. October 8. Silkroadnews - Attorneys General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will intensify joint efforts to combat transnational crime, informs the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan.
"Following the meeting adopted a protocol in which the heads of agencies reaffirmed their readiness to intensify joint efforts to combat transnational crime and carry out an effective, coordinated policy in this direction", - said in a statement on Wednesday.
It is noted that the main topics on the agenda were issues of implementation of environmental legislation, the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, minors, as well as the identification, seizure and return of proceeds from illegal means.
It is reported that at the meeting the Attorney General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbaev informed the participants about the ongoing work in Kazakhstan on the use of transboundary waters, reduction of administrative barriers and the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, as well as anti-money laundering.
"In Tashkent Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan held bilateral talks with the attorneys general of China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Mongolia, Deputy Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan, a representative of the Ministry of Law and Justice of India as well as with the leadership of the SCO and the SCO RATS. During the meeting they discussed topical issues and aspects of cooperation in the fight against crime",- said in a press release.
