The construction of the TAPI will be launched in 2016

Almaty. October 20. Silkroadnews - Turkmenistan in 2016 plans to commission 428 large industrial projects worth more than $9.7 billion, reports Trend.
"As part of an ambitious investment program to be built more than 220 projects worth about 18 billion US dollars", - says the publication.
Among these objects - transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) with capacity of 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas; gas-chemical complex to produce 467 thousand tons of polyethylene and polypropylene; plant for the production of 600 thousand tons of gasoline by processing natural gas; airports in the city of ​​Atamyrat Lebap (region) and city Garabogaz Balkan province; the factory for the production of 1 million tons of cement in Koytendag etrap (district) of Lebap province.
There will also be built a large number of social facilities: hospitals, homes and health centers, kindergartens, primary schools and housing.
