The controversial land of 0.7 hectares interrups construction of a road on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border

Almaty. August 4. Silkroadnews - Сonstruction of the road Kok-Tash - Ak-Sai in the Batken region is nterrupted by a piece of land of 0.7 hectares in the border area, reports KyrTAG referring to the Minister of Transport and Communications Kalykbek Sultanov.
"An area of 0.7 hectares is controversial. Experts still can not determine which country it belongs - to Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan. Therefore it was decided to resume construction of the road after determination of the ownership "- said the Minister on Monday.
According to him, the length of the road is only 7 km, 4 km is completed today. "The rest 3 km, we can not be completed because of disputed area of 0.7 hectares", - he explained.
According to the Minister, national budget allocated 36 million soms for construction of this road.
