The cultural capital of the CIS in 2016 will be Turkmen Dashoguz

Almaty. October 16. Silkroadnews - Decision on the choice of the cultural capital of the CIS in 2016 of Turkmenistan Dashoguz is approved by the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth in Astana, said CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev.
He noted that the program "Cultural capitals of Commonwealth" is aimed at strengthening of the cultural ties between the CIS states and the creation of a favorable climate for economic and political cooperation of the CIS states.
In 2015, the cultural capital of the CIS is the Russian city of Voronezh, during 2014 it was Almaty.
Recall, in Astana held the regular meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers.
