The first production line of railroad tracks started in Iran
Tehran. June 23. Silkroadnews - Isfahan Steel Mill in central Iran launched a project to establish the production of rails, reports Iranian news agency.
It will be the first company in Iran and the Middle East producing rails, says the publication. According to the chief engineer of Isfahan Steel Mill Mahdi Nasr, all preparatory work and commissioning of the production line are carried out with the direct participation of experts from Germany. Manufactured products will fully comply with international standards.
It is noted that the production capacity of the new line will be about 400 tons of products per year, whereas, the internal needs of the Islamic Republic Iran is about 150 thousand tons of rails per year.
M. Nasr added that the Isfahan Steel Mill will meet the needs of the domestic market and supply rails in the Middle East.
