Almaty. February 23. Silkroadnews - The government of Kazakhstan will stop asking for the additional transfers from the National Fund to develop the economy, the Minister of the National Economy of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev said, KazTAG reports.
“The government has decided we will not apply for any additional transfers on the development of the economy and as of today we follow such a policy,” - said Y. Dossayev to the reporters on Tuesday.
He noted that according to the law on the guaranteed transfer the Kazakhstani Cabinet of Ministers “had an opportunity to ask for plus/minus 15% of additional transfers”.
“We have refused from this too, with current $8 billion at the rate of 360 tenge per dollar. That is, there are no additional funds, thus, the work shall be carried out to safety (of the funds - Silkroadnews),” - the minister added.
He also explained that the effectiveness of the National Fund’s money use is shown through the “roads, utility infrastructures, railways, social objects built as the results of such work”.
“It is clear we are a part of the global world economy in the course of cyclical development and there are issues rising on increasing energy prices and reduction (in prices - Silkroadnews). Today we pass another stage when prices for energy and basic materials exports of Kazakhstan in the form of metals are very low. In this regard and due to the measures taken I would like to say the funds from the National Fund will be used appropriately and for the intended purpose,” - Y. Dossayev assured.
